Friendly, traditional, though relaxed milongas for experienced and less experienced dancers.
Usually 2nd Saturday and 4th Mondays of the month.
Doors open from 6:45 PM, dancing from 7:00-10:45 PM. Tickets: £12 at the door or £10 in advance. Free parking is plentiful; Alvechurch train station is a five-minute walk. Light refreshments provided.

Classes in Tango Fundamentals

Our classes start with an exploration of good posture, and using a games structure, we explore the relationships that create the drama of tango. We work closely with the music, listening to the phrasing, the dynamics, the rhythm, the style, and the varying qualities brought to tango by different orchestras and singers. We ensure that dancers understand the basic patterns on which tango is based but see these not as a lexicon from which a dance may be constructed but rather as possibilities on an infinitely variable journey responding to the music we dance to and the partner in our arms.
Usually 1st and 3rd (and 5th) Mondays of the month.
Class at 7:30 PM, practice from 8:45-9:45 PM. £8, free parking close by, Barnt Green train station is a ten-minute walk.
